Eighth grade students interested in applying to Loyola Academy for the 2019–20 year must take the entrance exam at Loyola Academy on December 7, 2019.
Applications for admission are only distributed to students who test at Loyola Academy.Calculators and language translators are not permitted. Any questions, please contact the Loyola Academy Admissions Office at 847.920.2480.Loyola Academy offers limited testing accommodations on the entrance exam.Loyola Academy accepts the most qualified applicants and only if Loyola Academy has the space available to accept the student.Acceptance is contingent upon space, academic fit and the successful completion of the applicant’s current school year.The two-week gap between the first and second class is designed so students can complete a draft of the essay to work with at the following meeting.The Loyola Academy entrance exam is the High School Placement Test (HSPT).If an eighth grade student is seeking extended time or other accommodations on the Entrance Exam, the parent or guardian must complete the Request for Accommodations on HSPT Form and submit a copy of their most recent psychoeducational evaluation as well as an IEP or 504 plan, if one is in place, for the student at his or her current school.Documentation should be sent to Loyola's school psychologist at [email protected] November 22, 2019.Although pre-registration is encouraged, walk up registration will be accepted on the day of the exam.Students need to bring two #2 pencils and .00 exam fee (cash or check payable to Loyola Academy).
