Two awards are available to GSAS students in Chemistry who will be entering the final year of writing their dissertations.
Students who are nominated but not selected for the Ted Keusseff Fellowship will automatically be considered for the Dean’s Dissertation Fellowship.
Applicants should note that it is their responsibility to ensure that all application components--including all supplementary materials--have been entered, submitted, and uploaded by the specified deadlines.
The GSAS Dissertation Fellowships AY 2020-21 competition is open.
Students who are nominated but not selected for the Samuel J. Williamson Fellowship will automatically be considered for the Dean’s Dissertation Fellowship.
Dissertation Writing Fellowships
The stipend for the Williamson Fellowship will reflect the GSAS minimum stipend for 2020-2021, with an additional 0 merit supplement.
Recipients of research fellowships are not obligated to complete their degree at the end of the fellowship term.
Dissertation research fellowships include a stipend that reflects the GSAS minimum stipend for 2020-2021. The stipend for the Torch Fellowship will reflect the GSAS minimum stipend for 2020-2021, with an additional 0 to cover the costs to enable a local public presentation of the project.
There are two types of GSAS Dissertation Fellowships available: 1) research and 2) writing.
Students are not permitted to be nominated for more than one fellowship in a given cycle. Dissertation Research Fellowships are for students who are in a research stage of their dissertation.
