This prestigious award, in honour of one of the pioneers in UK Hand Surgery has been awarded since 1975.
The winning essay, together with a list of past winners are available here (link coming soon).Interested applicants are invited to reflect on the subject of psychosis.Applicants may interpret the theme of psychosis broadly from a medical, biological, neuroscience, personal or sociological point of view.Grants of up to £5,000 can be awarded at the discretion of the Education and Training Committee and ratified by Council up to a total of £10,000 each year.The E&T Committee will vet applications for grants over £5,000 and those considered appropriate will be forwarded to Council for consideration.Entry Guidelines • The Prize is open to undergraduate medical students and junior doctors up to CT/ST2 level.• Only entries that are submitted via email, in word format to the published email address will be accepted.These awards cannot be used to cover course fees or travel expenses purely to attend a course.The closing dates are 31 January annually for awards to be made in March and 31 July annually for awards to be made in September.Up to £20,000 will be awarded each year at the discretion of the Education and Training Committee.Members wishing to apply for amounts in excess of £5,000 should consider applying for the Stack Fellowship.
